Lead Product Designer
Background Context
Before I took over as Lead Product Designer, PathBuilder lacked structure—wireframes were created without grids or documentation, and no user testing was conducted. Collaboration between the client and company led to missteps, with missing flows and unclear interactions. My goal? Transform PathBuilder into an intuitive, easy-to-use career pathway database, eliminating the need for spreadsheets.

PathBuilder is a Career Advancement SaaS product serving B2B and B2C clients.
About
Pathway: a way that constitutes or serves as a path, a way of achieving a specified result; a course of action.
In a typical case for PathBuilder clients, Career Pathways are used by organizations to help employees outline their career trajectory, upskill, or change careers. Career data is very technical, changes from industry to organization; and is updated manually. PathBuilder aims to solve these issues by introducing a new way to create, save, and share jobs and career paths.
A simple, colorful interface guides the user - a company, an organization, a “boss” - through the platform. There are several integrations available within the platform that allows the user to embed their data wherever they choose!
Once a pathway is created, it’s ready to be viewed by the end-user - an employee, a worker, a prospective candidate. The goal of the end user is to explore the jobs within the pathway, which includes information such as salary, location, years of experience, and even required training.
